Homemade Pizza Dough with 6 Ingredients


Pizza is a Italian dish but is now popular and in high demand all over the world. This recipe of Homemade Pizza Dough or Crust recipe is quick and easy which gives awesome flavor too. Pizza Dough is a foundation  of every pizza and when you are making it at home you can make according to your taste , thin or thick crust, the way you like. This Pizza Dough recipe has it all. So let's start.

Prep.time: 5 minutes
Dough rise/poof time: 1 hour

Ingredients:(make 2 thin crust large pizza base)

2 cups- all purpose flour
1/2 cup- lukewarm water
1 tsp.- baking powder
1/2 tbsp.- dry yeast
1 tsp.- salt
2 tbsp.- olive oil/ any oil without smell

To activate yeast: 

Mix 1tbsp. sugar with dry yeast and little bit of lukewarm water in a small bowl and keep it aside for 10 minutes undisturbed. 

Recipe of Pizza Dough: 

  • In a bowl, take all purpose flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Next add activated yeast in flour and mix everything together.
  • Add oil in it and knead a soft dough, adjust the quantity of water accordingly.
  • This is how your dough will look like. 
  • Cover it and keep it aside for 1 hour and let the dough rise/ poof.
  • After 1 hour your dough will get poof/rise and will be double in size.
  • Knead dough for 1 minute and keep it aside for 5 minutes before rolling it.
  • Your dough is ready , roll it thin or thick according to your taste.

Quick Tips:

  1. Water should be lukewarm not hot for activating yeast and also while kneading because hot water might inactivate the yeast and your dough won't get rise.
  2. For healthier option, you can whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour but taste won't be the same.
